Maureen O'Hara Biography

Maureen O'Hara was a renowned American actor and singer who was of Irish origin. The passionate, fiery role she played in several American film productions was the reason that attracted attention to the beautiful green eyed beauty. Her attractive look and natural beauty was well-loved. The actress was known in Hollywood as the "Queen of Technicolor". Her character onscreen was a reflection of her brave, strong character that struggled for her survival and fame in a male-dominated world. She always called herself the "tough Irish lass" who was never willing to compromise her honor and status to land the roles she wanted through merit. In all her years in the film arena, she always stood up against injustice and improper treatment of women actors. Because of this, she earned many followers. Her autobiography, "Tis Herself", was released in 2004. It is an honest and honest narrative of her life as well as the challenges she had to face while climbing the ladder to success. She was an adventurous person who was not afraid to attempt her own stunts. She appeared as an actress in over 60 films and enjoyed a lot of international recognition. After her departure from Parra, she married Charles F. Blair Jr. in the year 1968. He was a brigadier in the past and chief pilot, and was an innovator in transatlantic aviation. She finally retired after few years of marriage. The joy she felt was only temporary as Blair died in a tragic plane crash in 1978. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer in the same year and underwent an immediate procedure. She eventually recovered. She suffered six heart attacks, a short-term memory loss as well as diabetes type 2 in the following years. O'Hara, who was 95, peacefully passed away in Boise on 24 October 2015.
