Gillian MacLaren Jacobs born October 19, 1982 is an American actress. Her credits include Britta Perry (NBC comedy series 2009-2015), Mickey Dobbs (Netflix romantic comedy series Love (2016)-2018) as well as Atom Eve (Amazon animated series Invincible 2021). Mimi-Rose Howard was her recurring part in the fourth season of the HBO comedy-drama Girls (2012-2017). She has also appeared in films such as Life Partners (2014), Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015) and Don't Think Twice (2016). Jacobs Jr. was an investment banker. The death of her father occurred in 2013. She was raised by her mother in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family owned the Erie Brewing Company (not to be confused with the subsequent brewery of the identical name) in which her father, John Martin Magenau Jr. was President and CEO until the company ended in 1978.Jacobs began her studies in acting at age four and attended weekend acting classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up. She was often a performer at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. There, she won the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest. That led her to play Titania in the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. In 2000, she graduated from Lebanon High School. Then, she moved to New York City for the Juilliard School. There, she received a BFA in 2004.
