Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV host in America and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond locks and a lively personality, explains how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home using simple methods. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. She has also studied Italy's culinary tradition and culture, as well as the geography. As a youngster, living in the the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After earning an English and Communication degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most enjoyable time of my life. I just couldn't get enough out of the experience. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she is an advocate for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, she is on the road to talk about her love of food and her culinary career. Anne declared that she felt fortunate to be able to be able to share her passion for cooking with other people.
