Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist, was
previously an anchor for television at ABC News. Her stints as co-anchor of
Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host on The View (2015-2018)
are popular. Prior to this she was the co-anchor on America This Morning (World
News Now) as well as America This Morning (America This Morning). After
graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an
operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the
lack of opportunities for television, she was offered the position of a radio
sales representative. She was recruited as a WKEF/WRGT production assistant.
Later, she was promoted to anchor and reporter. From 2002 until 2005 she was
the sports anchor for weekends and sports anchor on weekdays at the WCPO-TV
station in Cincinnati. The contract was canceled and she became a reporter as
well as an anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 until
December 2011. In December 2011, she was employed by ABC News which is the
division for news of ABC. On January 2, 2012, she made her debut on ABC's World
News Now and America This Morning. She was a correspondent and fill-in for Good
Morning America during this time. In the future, she was promoted to a New York-based
reporter for all ABC News programs. The last episode of World News Now and
America This Morning was broadcast on January 22 2013. She debuted on Good
Morning America Weekend as co-anchor on the 9th of August, 2014. This was after
Bianna Golodryga shifted to Yahoo! News. ABC announced that she would be
joining The View as a cohost for season 19. The show announced on August 3,
2016 that she was renewed for for the 20th season. Season 21 was also the first
season she was renewed as cohost. She was on the show mostly during episodes on
Fridays in the 21st and 22nd seasons.
