Markie Post
Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek,
California and began her career with films and TV shows, including Card Sharks
(1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and went on to even create
projects such as Double Dare (1976) and appeared on such programs on television
as 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000).
One of her most memorable TV role was "Christine Sullivan" on Night
Court (1984). From 1984 until 1992 she appeared in 156 episodes. Daughter of
Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet and noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post
(November 14 1918 - April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June
26 1987), and Daisy Ross (born on March 30, 1990) was her second marriage to
Michael A. Ross. Her birthplace was Palo alto, California and grew up in the
vicinity of Walnut Creek in California. As an athlete, she was a part of Las
Lomas High school in Walnut Creek. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at
Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was part of the trick roping
team in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was cremated and her
ashes were returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie
Post, who was three months removed from her 71st birthday date on the 4th of
November, 2021, died on August 7. She died 27 days after fellow Night Court
(1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed at the age of 11 on July 11, 2021.
Although the two shows were completely unrelated, Night Court (1984) ended in
1992 , with her character, Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and
Hearts Afire (1992) started later that year with Post being a character who was
not her own, Georgie Lahti, who coincidentally worked in Washington DC (and
later moving to a small town).
