Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer one of Israel's most
beloved actresses, is an extremely special person. Born in Tel Aviv in 1967,
she was first noticed by Hollywood after she was cast in the part of Eric
Bana's spouse in the Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). Since her arrival
in the United States, Zurer has starred in Studio films including Sony
Pictures' Vantage Point with Dennis Quaid and William Hurt, Samuel Goldwyn's
Fugitive Pieces with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected with
Jeff Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons, opposite Tom
Hanks, Darling Companion which is a Lawrence Kasdan ensemble with Diane Keaton,
Kevin Kline and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel in the role of Russell Crow. Ewan
McGregor was the director of Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert. She
eagerly awaited the release of The Last Knights, a film by Kazuaki Kiriya,
starring Clive Owen. Recently, she won the Gold Nymph Award for Outstanding
Actress in the Drama Series at the 54th Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo
in recognition of her role in the TV show "Hostages". Ayelet was
awarded an Israeli Film And Television Academy Award in recognition of her
performance as Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet also received nominations for her
performance in the film Only Dogs Run Free and The Dybuk, from Holy Apple
Field, Desperado and Rutenberg. Zurer was the winner of the Haifa International
Film Festival critic award and also received a star on Haifa’s "film
boulevard" for her international and local accomplishments. Zurer was also
honored with the Israeli Television Academy Award for her performance on
"In Treatment" which is a renowned international TV series, which was
adapted for American television by HBO. In 2014, she was nominated as an
apposite actress in the year's most popular drama "Shtisel" and was
awarded the title of best actress in a show for her portrayal of an amazing
surgeon who is faced with the life and death dilemma in Hostages, sold to BBC4
and Canal Plus, and as an option to the American ABC. Golbary is one of Israel's
most coveted fashion brands for women. It's the "face" of Golbary.
Ayelet is a producer as well as writer, an illustrator of two adult books,
"Shorts" and the most popular "Badolina" by Gabi Nitazn.
Ayelet is working on some projects in Israel and in the USA. She expressed the
desire for international collaboration with directors from all over the world,
as she believes in collaborating with writers and directors who are not
well-known.
