Rita Ora, a British musician and singer. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer and songwriter born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. At the age of one, her family made the decision to move to England. She was born in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court. After that she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing at a young age.In 2004 she was featured in the British film Spivs. She was a contestant on Eurovision Your Country Needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest however, she later pulled out of the contest after a few shows because she did not feel ready. In 2007 Ora had her first music video when she sang on the track of Craig David titled "Awkward" and again in 2008 with "Where's Your Love" with Tinchy Stryder, for which she also appears in the music video. Ora started singing in bars across London. Roc Nation was alerted by an A&R regarding Ora in 2009, just a few days after Ora was on her way to New York and met Jay-Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo in Jay-Z's video of "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was enthralled by Ora's talent and quickly signed the singer to Roc Nation. In which Ora was included in a commercial for Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was the owner of a pub, and she began her singing career from that pub. Counts Gwen Stefani as a major influence in terms of demeanor, and her No Doubt band's "Don't speak" (1996) is among her most cherished songs.Her video for the Tezenis song from 2016, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel that received the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel in 1999.She was seriously considered for the role of Iris West in Justice League (2017) before Kiersey Clemons was chosen to play the role.
